In mirror therapy, a mirror is placed into body-midline. Looking into the mirror, the reflection of the unimpaired hand is seen at the position of the non-seen impaired hand behind this mirror. Observing a seemingly normal moving impaired limb has a strong stimulating effect on the motor system and has been shown to be highly effective for treatment in stroke. You will be able to perceive this effect in the VR demo when movements of your virtual hand are controlled by real movements of your opposite hand. During bilateral or unilateral games you will become confident with using your avatar hand.
