Mechatronics II: Mechatronics Development Lab
Mechatronics II: Mechatronics Development Lab: The Mechatronics Development Lab focuses its research on designing, implementing, and Testing Mechatronic components and systems for Robotics. The developed components can be new types of Mechanisms, Actuation, Processing, Sensing, and/or Communication units. Some of the activities of the lab include:
- CAD-assisted design of Mechanical and Electronic Components
- 3D printing and assembly of mechanical parts
- Soldering and assembly of printed circuit boards
- Programming of electronic components
- Assembly and Test of Mechatronic components and systems.
The following Equipment and tools are available to use at the Lab facilities:
- PRUSA 3D Printers
- Programming/Debugging tools
- Oscilloscopes & Multimeters
- Regulated Power Supplies
- Soldering, Reflow and Preheat Stations with (or without) Fume extractors.
- Microscope
- Crimping tools, pliers and tweezers
- Precision screwdrivers
- Files, sandpaper and cutters
- Mechanical components (bearings, shafts, screws, springs, magnets, etc.)
- Electronic components (integrated circuits, passive components, connectors, etc.)
