Over 80 young MINT talents competed in 51 teams in the Munich West regional competition.

For the first time, the Munich School of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MSRM), the Robokind Foundation and Franka Emika were the sponsoring companies of the event on March 4 and 5. The venue was the robotics hall of MSRM at Heßstraße 134.

The young scientists presented a wide range of exciting and innovative research projects in the fields of work, biology, chemistry, mathematics/computer science, physics and technology. The work ranged from approaches to solutions for fishing plastic waste out of the sea to a new method for reconstructing human cartilage with a high success rate.

Jugend forscht is Germany's best-known youth competition. Last year, more than 12,000 children and young people took part and registered 6,617 research projects. The patron of "Jugend forscht" is Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
