Versatile: The Summer School 2025 program with its hands-on tutorials, keynotes, and breakout sessions
The event program for the Geriatronics Summit Summer School can be downloaded here in the 2025 review.
Essentially, the following highlights were offered over two days, alongside many other opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange:
- Hands-on tutorials: In a detailed tutorial at Caritas, robotics engineers and robotics students had the opportunity to learn about the care processes and procedures used in nursing training. In the practical tutorial at the robot factory of the TUM Geriatronics Research Center, nursing students and nursing professionals were able to learn the basics of robotics.
- Keynotes: They were held by internationally renowned professors of robotics and nursing such as Adriana Tapus, Arash Ajoudani, Tapomayukh Bhattacharjee, Dana Kulic, Cristian Secchi, Abderrahmane Kheddar, and David Beckwée.
- Breakout sessions: In interdisciplinary mixed groups, participants worked together on a freely chosen topic to find out how robots can be used to help in care scenarios. The results of the individual groups included ideas for project proposals and concepts for feasibility studies, which were presented to the participants and a jury of experts at the end of the summer school.
The best ideas were awarded prizes by Friends of Geriatronics e.V.
