They are pulling together for the Campus
The Technical University of Munich, LongLeif gGmbH and the Caritas Association of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising e.V.
Together with its partners, the Technical University of Munich is creating a unique joint project here in Garmisch-Partenkirchen: with the Caritasverband München und Oberbayern and LongLeif gGmbH, new concepts and technologies for humane, individual care and self-determined living in old age are being researched in a multidisciplinary way at the Garmisch-Partenkirchen campus. Newly created age-appropriate living facilities and a wide range of care services provide an ideal environment for this.
Together with the residents and employees of the Caritas care and residential facilities located there, Geriatronics is developing support options using robotics and AI for care staff and those in need of care. The campus also focuses on training and further education in the field of care and health.
With this visionary project, the Garmisch-Partenkirchen campus is building a bridge between research and practical application in order to improve the quality of life of people in need of care, especially those with age-related limitations or disabilities. Research, education and practice are geared towards the reality of life in old age, characterized by appreciation. This makes the campus a unique attraction for young and old, business and science, anchored locally in the modern, future-oriented market town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
