Experience the Geriatronics Research Center up close
At the Geriatronics Research Center in the heart of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, we work with our partners to do our best to make the future of care and dignified ageing as safe, supported and attractive as possible. We are passionate about fulfilling our mission to inform the public about our research. Several times a year, we allow groups of visitors to look over our shoulders as we go about our work during Geriatronics Experience Weeks. Towards the end of each research year, we open our doors to the general public for a day and give a demonstration of what GARMI has learned. During the summer program for school classes and the vacation program of the local district youth council, we hold workshops with children and young people in our robot factory.
However, we also serve the specialist audience with an important thematic event every year. The Geriatronics Summit takes place every other year as a major international conference in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and has developed into the summit meeting of the most excellent robotics researchers for health and care. This is where real exchange takes place - also with industrial partners, who complement the summit with an exhibition. The Geriatronics Summit Summer School takes place alternately. It will be launched for the first time in 2025 and offers students from the relevant disciplines several days of exchange and networking with professors and practitioners in geriatronics.
