Welcome to the Geriatronics Campus of the Technical University of Munich - Get to know us
The Geriatronics Research Center of the Technical University of Munich is part of the Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MIRMI).
Here in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, we develop innovative solutions to improve the quality of life in old age and make care more efficient. Researchers are already working together with experts from the care sector and senior citizens in a practical way. One key project is the GARMI assistance robot, which is designed to support people in their everyday lives and carry out care tasks and telemedical examinations. The international and interdisciplinary team aims to equip GARMI with all the capabilities it needs to be a reliable aid in care centers or homes on a daily basis.
As the AI Mission Institute, MIRMI develops trustworthy AI-supported robotics solutions to secure our technological lead and a sustainable future for all of us - in the areas of health, work, mobility and the environment. These solutions are accelerated by uniquely combining groundbreaking research, technological innovation and talent development.
