GyroTrainer: Development of an adaptive and interactive training device to strengthen the back muscles and coordination skills through the innovative construction of a gyroscope-like platform

The aim is to develop an interactive training device for the effective strengthening of the superficial and deep back muscles based on an innovative gyroscope-like design with six degrees of freedom (GyroTrainer). A modular and game-like training program for different age and fitness levels is intended to achieve long-term prevention of back pain. By using state-of-the-art sensors and adaptive control, the system will continuously monitor the movement patterns and will react dynamically to support the training process. A mobile application will be developed to visualize the exercises and the individual training progress. In order to guarantee safe training for all user groups, appropriate safety mechanisms will be integrated.
