At Siemens, a dedicated cross-functional team based at their headquarters has been formed with a primary goal of identifying scalable digitalization solutions at the intersection of IT and OT, and testing them through incubations and pilot projects in collaboration with Siemens departments and factories. Successful implementations that prove to be both scalable and economically viable will be rolled out globally through our Fabrik-Digitalisierungsprogramm across our 120 Siemens factories worldwide.
To identify innovative IT solutions, Siemens is seeking partnerships with companies (e.g., AWS, Google) and institutions. Siemens network is not seeking specific research projects. They are looking for opportunities to implement innovative IT/OT technologies that can be piloted in one of their factories and test for Siemens. They engage in discussions with our departments and are open to joint incubation projects with research partners.
