The Robotics Institute Germany (RIG) serves as Germany's central hub for robotics. Led by TUM, it brings together 16 universities and research institutions and 19 associated partners to advance embodied intelligence. Partners share labs and research data, set common benchmarks, nurture talent and speed up the path from research to industry.
Together with the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), TUM MIRMI develops AI systems that adapt to unfamiliar situations and act reliably in the physical world. The partnership combines MIT CSAIL's strengths in AI and machine learning with TUM MIRMI's expertise in robotics and machine intelligence. The aim is a lasting collaboration that reaches beyond individual projects.
