The Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MIRMI) develops breakthrough methods and technologies for solving the grand societal challenges of our time. We focus on the future of environment, work, health, and mobility by disrupting the boundaries in robotics, perception and artificial intelligence. Our mission is fueled by bottom-up focus groups that allow interdisciplinary teams of scientists and innovators to pursue high risk, high gain initiatives. By creating a collaborative critical mass environment for world-class research and teaching at one of Europe’s leading universities, MIRMI is a crystallization point for machine intelligence, reaching far beyond the Munich ecosystem.
